At Rice we were informed that for people who are a year or two from submitting their package, there is an _option_ of extending tenure clock by 1 year.

Re tenure clock, UH’s provost sent us an email about this earlier this week. Sounds like a 1 year extension for all faculty who request it.
Tenure clock at BCM has now been extended for 1 year for all tenure track assistant and associate profs.
